Executive Director and Founder
Ken was born and raised in the Chicago area. He studied at Moody Bible Institute and Wheaton College Graduate School. After working for First Baptist of Geneva in the Chicago suburbs for 8 years as the pastor for university students he and his wife Emmy relocated to Oceanside, CA where he continued to pastor university students at New Song Community Church.
In 2013 Ken and Emmy moved to Liverpool to “test the waters” and see if the Lord was calling them to church planting and long-term ministry in Europe. It was while serving on the staff at Christ Church Liverpool that the idea for AT3 was born. After a year of serving at Christ Church Liverpool as a volunteer pastor, the church hired Ken onto the pastoral staff as co-pastor and at the same time commissioned him to launch AT3. Ken now serves as co-pastor / elder of Christ Church Liverpool and Director of AT3. In addition to that Ken serves on the board of trustees of the North West Church Resources as well as the steering committee of Redeemer City to City UK.
He enjoys food, reading and loves road cycling so much he rode all the way across the USA in 2003. He met his wife Emmy outside of a coffee shop and they still drink coffee together every day.
Volunteer Director of Apprenticeships
Prior to joining the team at AT3 in 2018, Steve served for twenty-two years in pastoral ministry in the United States. Drawing on his experience as a lead pastor, church planter, church planting coach, and regional church planting leader with Converge Great Lakes, he is committed to cultivating the next generation of spiritual leaders. He’ll be volunteering his time to help AT3 to coach, mentor and train our 2 year Ministry Apprentices.
Steve earned a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies and is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute. He and his wife, Amanda, have three children: Rashawn, Isaiah, and Grace. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and fishing and is also an avid reader.
Volunteer Apprentice Development Manager
Clint has a passion for ministry, a heart for the lost and he longs to see young leaders launched into ministry. From a young age, he has felt called to build God’s kingdom through the local church. The question was always where and how was that going to happen. After studying Christian Ministry at Grand Canyon University, AT3 answered that question as Clint became one of the very first AT3 apprentices in 2016.
Though his apprenticeship finished in the summer of 2018, his heart longed to continue building the church in the UK. He continued his ministry on staff at a local UK church called City Church Manchester, and has now joined our team and is volunteering by recruiting and coaching new AT3 apprentices!
Whether he is in Manchester, Liverpool or on a partnership trip you’ll find Clint shooting film photography, playing music with friends, or chowing down at the best local eats with his wife Hannah.
Volunteer Director of Operations
When Daniel meets young leaders for the first time, he exudes his passion to develop and invest in them. Even as a former educator, he always had a propensity to challenge his students to consider different ways of thinking and to see the bigger picture so that they could achieve their God-given potential. Daniel has a natural heart for discipleship, pushing others to experience the amazing adventures God has for them around the world. He lives to see his leaders raise new leaders.
Daniel is volunteering his time to help AT3 develop better ways to train and equip leaders, both pastorally and administratively. But when he’s not doing that, he’s busy finding hole-in-the-wall culinary treasures. Daniel is married to Naomi.
Director of Summer Internships & Personal Assistant to the Executive Director
Naomi grew up in a small village in Cumbria, UK, before moving to Ormskirk to study primary teaching at Edge Hill University in September 2012. Since graduating Naomi has spent time teaching across schools in Merseyside and working at Christ Church Liverpool.
Naomi leads the student ministry at Christ Church Liverpool and looks after our Summer Internship programme. Alongside that, she helps coordinate Ken and the many boards he sits on as a Trustee. In her spare time, Naomi loves playing football, guitar and watching films and is married to Daniel.
Director of Mobilisation & Administrator
Originally from Cheshire in the UK, Jill moved to Liverpool in 2007. Having previously worked for the NHS and the North West Partnership, Jill began as the Administrator for AT3 in 2016. Alongside studying for a Speech and Language Therapy degree, Jill works part-time with AT3 helping to future apprentices and interns move from the application stage to being in the UK. The draw of the job is a constant mixture of strategy, interaction with people all over the world and seeing God continually provide.
When not working or studying, Jill can be found making something new or enjoying a classic cup of ‘Yorkshire’ tea!
Administration & Communications Coordinator
Jessie is originally from Kalamazoo, MI and moved to Edinburgh, UK with her husband Elijah as part of AT3’s apprenticeship program in 2018. Alongside studying for a Biblical Counseling certificate, Jessie works part-time with AT3 supporting current apprentices and sharing the vision of AT3 across many different plateforms. She has a desire to care for others in personal and practical ways, and loves pairing this with her role at AT3. The privileged it is to witness God’s ongoing transformation and goodness in the lives of those who come through AT3 is her favorite part of her job!
When not working or studying, you can find Jessie at the local cafe sipping coffee or in the lovely hills hiking!
Before joining AT-3 Jacob served as a music teacher for a local primary school and a music director for City Life Church in Sacramento, California. In 2019 Jacob and his wife Leah moved to Edinburgh UK to serve with AT3. Jacob is a worship leader at Hope City Church Edinburgh and has the privilege of researching and pioneering a worship arts focused training program for future AT3 apprentices. What excites him most is connecting AT3 with UK based scholars, churches, and artists who are passionate about using the arts for the glory of God and the good of his people in gathered worship.
