Hello! My name is Michael (Mike) Martin, I am a Charlotte NC native; married to Sarah, we have two lovely daughters (Ida & Samantha). I am privileged to have been born to a Christian family; 'saved' and baptised in my youth- I practically walked away from the faith after university. In my late twenties I came back to the gospel, having tried most everything else first! As it turned out for me, the need for mercy and grace had to become quite acutely felt & experienced personally... having hit rock bottom [then after dragging along bouncing off the rocks for a bit]; I revisited the faith of my youth with a newly acquired perspective. Thus began my own search for proper discipleship with other believers- perhaps as broken as I- who were willing to be honest about, and cry out for their own acute need for the mercy & grace of God in Christ Jesus.
I long to see the various expressions of truly gospel-centred local churches, embrace humility and generosity in ways that facilitate working broadly- across theological/cultural/ethnic lines for the purpose of raising up leaders for now and future generations. I am AT3's Church Partnerships Manager; I live in Birmingham- and if you are a church leader (anywhere in the UK, or beyond) ... we should meet, and pray, and get practical. All glory to King Jesus.
